Norma Greene Fluckiger, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend returned home to her Heavenly Father and the love of her life and sweetheart of 60 years on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, surrounded by her family who loved and adored her.
She was born September 11, 1929 in Smithfield, Utah to Joseph Weldon and Martha Leone Anderson Greene.
On October 20, 1948, Norma married Aaron Dean Fluckiger in the Idaho Falls Temple. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2005.
She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many ward leadership positions. Norma and Dean served an LDS mission in Santa Cruz and LaPaz Bolivia and also served as temple ordinance workers.
She loved projects, hard work and beautiful things. Her home was a heaven on earth.
Mama we love you for your testimony, courage, example and love. You taught us true principles and we can be a forever family.
Norma is survived by her children, Kenneth and Lorri Fluckiger, Gary and Paula Fluckiger, Jay and Mitzi Fluckiger, Carol and Gary Yardley, Kathy and James Moore, 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, a brother, David Harold (Karen) Greene and three sisters, Laura (Don) Gardner, Lola (Ballard) Gardner, and Carol (Garth) Wilson.
Including her husband she was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, John and Christin Yardley, a great-grandson, Zakk Hilliard, and a brother, Gilbert Weldon Greene.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Muskrat Springs Ward Chapel, 5375 South 5900 West, Hooper.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
