Norma L. Murray

Our zany, witty, beautiful social butterfly, Norma L. Murray, whose wings were clipped by several medical disabilities, has gained her freedom and soared into the arms of her loving husband, sisters and other departed loved ones, on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at the age of 87.

Norma was born on April 10, 1926, to William Hyrum and Clara Liechty Luthy in Providence, Utah. She was raised in Cache Valley where she met her husband, Guy Maughan Murray. They were married on August 26, 1947, and were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on June 15, 1948. Guy preceded in death on April 14, 2008, after over 60 years of marriage.

They were blessed with three children: Marshall Guy (Pauline) Murray of Ogden, Sharleen (Chris) Hansen of Kaysville and Jeffery L. Murray of Layton.

Norma and Guy owned and operated several drive-inns from 1961 to 1978, including the Frosted Mug in Kaysville, the Tik Tok Drive Inn in Layton, the Dog N Suds Drive Inn in Layton and Guy''s CafAC. in Ogden. Norma also enjoyed working at ZCMI, Annabelle''s and the Elks Lodge in Ogden.

She is survived by seven grandchildren: Tyson, Kim, Krystal, Brandilyn, Michelle, Jeremy and Tiffani, five great-grandchildren: Kacey, Kanyon, Paisley, Bentley and Rylie. She is also survived by a loving sister: Dorothy Olson of Kelso, Washington, and her very special sisters by marriage: Carma, Susanne, Emma Jean, Rochelle, and Marie.

We will sorely miss you but are grateful that you are reunited with your loved ones whom you have missed so much. We love you so very, very much.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at 500 East Crestwood Road, Kaysville.
