Norma R. Post WASHINGTON TERRACE – Norma Ruth Van Reekum Post, 79, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born October 10, 1927 in Ogden, a daughter of Henry and Elida Van Komen Van Reekum. On January 12, 1945, Norma married Orric Post in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Orric died January 18, 1982. She was raised and educated in Ogden where she lived all of her life. Norma was a very kind, giving person. She was also a very loving mother. Her greatest pleasures in life were RVing with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are one daughter and one son, Mary Lou Post, West Haven; Orric “Rick” (Marilyn) Post, West Point; four grandchildren, Kim Taylor, Randy Post, Shane Post and Jamee Maughn, and eight great-grandchildren. Norma is also survived by her sisters, Mary Bensen, Kent, WA; Hazien Wright, Roy. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Email condolences to the family at lom@lindquistmortuary.com
