FARR WEST - Norma Jean Salazar, 67, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Roy surrounded by her husband and daughters.

She was born May 9, 1941 in San Jose, California, a daughter of James Arthur and Angelina Victoria Balistreri Murray.

On July 7, 1956, Norma married Eddie Bernal Salazar in Virginia City, Nevada.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She was a bookkeeper for the Salazar Painting, Inc.

Norma was a member of the Sonora Emblem Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking for her family and this was a form of love for her. Norma loved sewing and her garden. People said she had the most beautiful roses they ever saw. She also enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are her husband, Eddie, of Farr West; her daughters, Starlene Yager, Cynthia McKinney and Desiree Lee; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Bill Murray and Art Murray; and three sisters, Joanne Sandoval, Marlene Happel and Victoria Straubinger.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Cremation under the direction of Lindquist''s Crematory.
