Norman Louis Hull, 94, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at his home.

He was born April 24, 1916 in Hooper, Utah to Robert and Elizabeth Rigby Hull. He attended school in Kanesville, Hooper and Weber High School.

On November 22, 1940, Norman married Elizabeth Frew in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2008.

Norman was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many positions. He served an LDS mission with his wife in the Arizona Holbrook Mission, a Stake Mission, one year at the Church cannery service mission, and 60 years of temple work. They also served in the Weber West Special Needs Mutual where he worked in the scouting. He was a very faithful member of the church and had a strong Testimony. He was in many musicals in his Stake and sang in a quartet from many years.

He played baseball for the Utah/Idaho League, Wasatch League, Hooper Farm Bureau League and for the church. He played on the "old-timer''s" baseball team until his 70''s. He played basketball until he was 72.

Norman worked for the Ogden Arsenal, worked with Floyd Jensen building houses, worked construction and worked 19 years at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1979.

He loved farming and farmed throughout his life, where he raised and taught his children. He loved to travel and went on many trips with his wife and others. He loved his family very much and enjoyed any time spent with them. He loved the summer weekend outings and any family gatherings.

Norman is survived by his children, Rosalie (Ferril) Muir, Richard (Carol) Hull, Carol (Jim) Earl, all of Hooper; Dan (Linda) Hull, Salt Lake City; Louise (Jimmy, deceased) McCartney, New Mexico; Wayne (Pamela) Hull, Salt Lake City; Robert (Sue) Hull, Alaska; Elaine (Craig) Browning, Washington Terrace; Barbara Hoskins, Hooper; Clair (Cathy) Hull, Colorado; and Duane (Connie) Hull, Hooper; 46 grandchildren and 90 + great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Della Rawson, a sister-in-law, Aline Hull, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, his twin sister, nine other brothers and sisters, and four grandsons.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation and gratitude to Legacy Hospice staff for their love and care. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17th at 11 a.m. at the Hooper 2nd Ward Chapel, 5000 South 5900 West.

The family will meet friends for a viewing on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
