Norman C. Kendall
NORTH OGDEN - Norman Compton Kendall, 78, died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at a local care center of colon cancer.
He was born August 27, 1930 in Morgan, Utah, a son of Norman Scott and Afton Compton Kendall.
On August 18, 1950, Norman married Virginia Hampton in Weber County.
He was employed at Cream O’ Weber Dairy, Thiokol, Cutter Laboratories, Abbott Laboratories and G.S.L. Minerals.
Norman was an avid sportsman who almost never missed an opportunity to go fishing or hunting. His favorite sports were goose hunting at Locomotive Springs and fishing on the Bear River for catfish. Norman traveled the world with his wife, but most of all he loved family gatherings at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia, of North Ogden; one son, Randy Craig, South Ogden; Janette K. (Lee) Gould, North Ogden; four grandchildren, Christeen Campbell, Natalie Kendall, Eric Gould, and Kari Campbell.
Also surviving is his sister, Alta (Leonard) Taylor, Salt Lake City,
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Byron Glen Campbell.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
