Norman Dean Marble, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born August 22, 1931 in Virden, New Mexico to Horace Edward and Thelma Emara Dillard Marble. He grew up in Eagen, Jerome and Phoenix, Arizona. In 1961, he and his family moved to Willard, Utah after his two marriages and his retirement he and his family lived in Ogden.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He enjoyed genealogy and history and has written three books for his family. Also, poetry of which he has compiled and written a book. He loved God''s beauty, family and his fellow man.

Norman is survived by his wife, Darlene, Ogden; sons, Danyl Lynn (Jana) Marble, Robyn Scott (Mary), Colin Wayne (Lena) , Kurtis Michael; daughters, Donna Mae Stockman, Nina Darlene Boulware, Bonnie Eileen Petersen; step-sons, Gordon William Petersen, Richard Keith Petersen; 23 grandchildren, 25 step-grandchildren; a brother, Steven (Janet) Marble, and four sisters, Elizabeth Miller, June (Stan) Lupicke, Lorraine (Richard) Stewart, Cherril (Leonard) Lovin; sister-in-law, Sharon Boulter; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Cook, Lynn Cook, Legrande Cook, Raymond Cook, Keith Cook, and Karl Cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Alyn Dean, Teryl Brett, Kevin James, two grandchildren, brothers, Edwin and Henry, a step-daughter, Deborah Lee Freedle and three step-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 10th at 3 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery.

Friends and family may call Saturday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
