He grew up in Ogden and attended Mount Fort Elementary, graduated from Ogden High School in 1952, and attended Weber Jr. College in 1952. In 1954 Norman was called to serve in the Texas Louisiana LDS Mission. After returning from his mission, Norman met the love of his life, JoAnn Taylor. They were married in 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and were blessed with six wonderful children. In 1995, Norman and JoAnn served an LDS mission to Ventura, California. He loved serving in the Ogden LDS Temple Baptistry. Dad loved to golf, snow ski, and work in his grape vineyard.
