O.C. Buckmaster

September 25, 1926 ~ May 7, 2014

O.C. Buckmaster was born at home in Mannsville, Oklahoma, on September 25, 1926.  He is the only child of Richard Russel and Ethel Greeson Buckmaster and stepfather Everett Ted Bush.  He lived in Texas until 1963 when he moved his family to Utah.  He is a World War II Army Veteran.

He married Josephine Rossiter on December 15, 1947; their marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 25, 1963.  He is survived by four daughters (Juanita & Gary Denton, Margaret & Bruce Howard, Sue & Ben Riedel, Sandy & Scott Krumperman) and one son (Richard); one daughter (Donna) died shortly after her birth.  O.C. & Jo have eight grandchildren (Christina, Rhonda, Shannon, Jenna, Matt, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Rachel) and one grand-dog (Jake) along with eight great-grandchildren (Austin, Cheyenne, Jackson, Hunter, Morgan, Abby, Caleb, and Kobe).

He is preceded in death by his wife, daughter, and parents.

O.C. passed away at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.  Family would like to sincerely thank all the Staff at the VA Home for their loving care of O.C. in his last days.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Military Honors will be performed at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will be in Dalhart, Texas next to his wife.
