ODELL KARL HATCH

April 4, 1930 ~ December 16, 2015

Odell Karl Hatch, 85, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home.

He was born April 4, 1930 in Brigham City, Utah to Helgar Packer and Sylvia Johnson Hatch.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant during the Korean War.

On April 3, 1953, Odell married Genever Ruby Mathis in Corrine, Utah.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Odell is also a member of the Utah Veterans Association.

He was a family man. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, traveling and golfing. One of his favorite activities was riding his bike and his four-wheeler with his dog.

Odell is survived by his wife, Genever; their children, Jeffery Packer (Kathy) Hatch, Charlyn Robinson, Tyler Odell (Ailien) Hatch, Teresa Genever Hatch, Trudy (Ricky) Rasmussen, Ryan Hatch; 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Barbara Goddard, Carolyn Bywater, Amos Hatch and Marvin Hatch.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jethro Packer Hatch and five siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am. on Monday December 21, 2015 at the West Point 4th Ward Chapel, 2884 West 300 North. The family will meet with friends prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
