Orel William England
PLAIN CITY a" Orel William England passed away in Ogden, Utah, on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 just one week short of his 92nd birthday.
Orel was born on April 21, 1917 in Plain City, Utah to John Charles and Laura Theuson Dorchaus England, the youngest of four children. He spent his entire life in Plain City where he farmed. He loved farming, especially Hereford cattle. Plain City was his paradise.
He married Melba Udy on February 27, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on January 21, 2006.
Orel and Melba loved camping, traveling and visited throughout the U.S. and many countries. He was an avid Utah Jazz fan. He was a kind, loving man and always had a great sense of humor.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as an extraction volunteer for seven years. He and Melba served together as hostesses at the Ogden Tabernacle.
Orel was preceded in death by his wife, Melba, parents, brother Orville, and sisters Lila Burnett and Loneda England.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Plain City 7th Ward Chapel, 2952 North 4200 West.
Friends may call at the Ward Chapel on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
