Orlande David Heaton

Orlande David Heaton passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah, surrounded by his children.

He was born January 28, 1929 in Cedar City, Utah, the son of David Esplin Heaton and Idona Gibson Heaton. Orlande married Charlotte Barrus January 11, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple and together they raised their family in the Concord, California area. Later they relocated to Vernal, Utah, where they lived for 12 years before moving to Bountiful, Utah.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held various callings throughout his lifetime and worked in several temples. He also served in numerous family history and church service missions with his wife. He enjoyed family history research, especially indexing. His favorite moments were with his family and their frequent camping trips together. He was an avid outdoorsman and is a master gardener.

He is survived by 2 sons and 5 daughters: Londa Frankis, David Heaton, Jennifer Hepworth, Timothy Heaton, Suzanne Plympton, Kimberly Kaapro, and Stephanie Anderson; sister Vauna Brown; brothers Garrold Heaton and Garth Heaton. Preceded in death by his wife Charlotte, granddaughter Eiren Fritz and great-grandson Aidan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Centerville 5th Ward Chapel, 270 N. 300 E. Centerville. Friends may visit Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
