Orrin N. Randall
October 4, 1921 – January 29, 2017
He didn’t know as he drove his produce truck to the Progressive Food Store in Superior, Wyoming in 1950, that he would fall in love and marry the beautiful owner, Damaris (Dee) Boschetto. Orrin (Red) Randall became the instant father of four not very well behaved children, identical twins, Gerald and Harold (both now deceased), Carole and John. Several years later they added a beautiful baby brother, Dennis.
As the coal mines closed and business decreased, Orrin moved the family to his home town, Centerville, Utah. After selling his business, he was employed with and later retired from the Davis County School District. Several years after Dee passed away, he moved to Salt Lake City to be closer to his daughter. He met a cute widow, Lileth Eatough, who lived down the street. They were married in 2002 and shared many happy times gardening and traveling together. They also enjoyed their Saturday evenings watching the Lawrence Welk Show.
Orrin served our nation honorably in the U.S. Army as an MP near the end of World War II, stationed in Naples, Italy. He shared many war stories in his later years when he had time to reflect on that time in his life.
He leaves behind his wife, Lileth, and their Westie, Korkie; daughter Carole Couch and her husband, Dennis, who was his best friend and caregiver; sons, John and Dennis (Debbie); 12 beloved grandchildren and many great and great, great grandchildren; brothers Grant and Deon, and sister Edith. Special thanks to his granddaughter, Lisa, for making and delivering homemade meals to him these past years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, where friends may visit with family from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the service. Interment, Centerville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Wounded Warriors Project.
