Otis Hughes

LAYTON – Otis “Bob” Shannon Hughes, age 79, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2016 in his Layton home while surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia, brothers Fred

(Julie) Hughes and Rick (Beth) Kennard and sister Carol (Eric) Aldinger. He is lovingly remembered by his children Jacqueline (Jim) Killen, Robert Hughes, Victoria (Mike) Acord, David (Denise) Redfern and Kathleen (Evan) Trommer, his 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bob was born October 30, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Shannon S. Hughes and W. Maxine Pratt. He married Patricia B. Redfern on January 27, 1974. He was an avid fly fisherman and camper, doting dog-father of Belle, and he enjoyed reading and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit family Sunday from 5 to 7 pm at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.  A Vigil will be held at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation
in Salt Lake City.
