Owen James McClellan

Owen James McClellan, 86, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2016 in Mesa, Arizona of causes incident of age.  He was born on December 13, 1929 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, the son of James McClellan and Rose Rindlisbacher.  Owen spent his early years in Chesterfield, Idaho until his family moved to Ogden, Utah in 1942.

He married Delores Russell on September 23, 1953 in Ogden Utah.  Together they had three children.  Delores passed away on October 21, 2013.  She was the love of his life.  After her passing he spent three very lonely years without her.

Owen served in the US Marines and the US Navy from 1947 to 1954.  He graduated from Utah State University in 1957.  Owen worked at HAFB where he retired in1985.

Owen is survived by two children, Pam (Blake) Adams, Mesa, Arizona, and Bruce Joseph McClellan, Mesa, Arizona.  He was blessed with eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by one brother, Ray (Sharon) McClellan, Malad, Idaho.

Owen was preceded in death by his wife, one son, his parents, one brother, and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.   Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
