Owen John Walker
Owen John Walker passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the age of 91, into the arms of his loving wife who had preceded him in death six years on May 31, 2001.
Born in Minersville, Utah, June 20, 1915 to John Orrin and Vera Etta Baum Walker.
Married Letha Bodily, December 5, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Owen was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many church callings in his life serving diligently in each of them. He loved to be with his children and grandchildren and they knew of his love for them.
Survived by his daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Moore, Layton; Dahryl (James) Lindholm, Vancouver, WA; Kathy (Vance) Blackner, Layton; Debby (companion, Wayne Brothersen), Salt Lake City; daughter-in-law, Glenda Fern Walker Johnson, Delta; 15 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, sisters Maxine Wheaton, Vivian Darrington, brothers Murray and Gordon Walker.
Preceded in death by his wife, sons DeLoy and Dennis, two grandsons, son-in-law, parents, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Pleasant View Cemetery, Burley, Idaho.
