Pansy M. Scambia
OGDEN – Pansy Marie Scambia, 86, died Friday, October 26, 2007 at Legacy House in Washington Terrace.
She was born March 14, 1921 in Wilmer, Minnesota, a daughter of R.E. and Lara Bell Baker Ressler.
Pansy married John Karl Scambia on December 24, 1942 in Wilmer, Minnesota.
She lived most of her life in the Ogden area.
Pansy enjoyed a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. She and her husband served several Christian missions on the Ivory Coast in Africa.
She enjoyed a long career teaching children in Weber and Davis County School Districts.
Pansy loved to travel and to try all types of food. She enjoyed hiking, camping, snow skiing and was a rock hound. Pansy loved to be outdoors.
Surviving are two sons and four daughters, J. Stephen (Nenita) Scambia, Salt Lake City; Phillip R. (Valeda) Scambia, Lemoore, CA; Sandra L. Scambia, Ogden; Catherine Douglass (Jerry) Johnson, Layton; Deborah A. (Andrew) Poulos, Winnebow, NC; Lois S. Golde, South Weber; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Helen B. Ressler.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 1770 East 6200 South, South Ogden, UT.
Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
