CLEARFIELD – I am heartbroken to announce the death of my mother PatsyLee Aitken Pearce, she passed away from natural causes peacefully at the age of 77 in her home on September 1, 2023. She was surrounded by friends and family at the time of her death. She has been battling Parkinson’s and Dementia for the last 12 years. She is the daughter of Francis Marie Montgomery Aitken and Lyle Jack Aitken. She was born on December 20, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Pat, also known as Patsy, was a vivacious and adventurous woman. She had a love for life and was always up for a spontaneous road trip, eager to explore new places. In her downtime, she enjoyed reading, traveling, and indulging in a home-cooked meal paired with a glass of good wine. Pat also found solace in bubble baths and relaxation.
Pat was married to her first husband John Albert Pearce in Newport Rhode Island in May of 1965. They moved to Sydney Australia and proceeded to start her family. After 10 years and three daughters later they both got divorced. She remarried my stepdad Larry Radtke and divorced him in 1988. She then married her third husband Richard Fogel in 1993 and later divorced him in 2007. My parents rekindled their first love and remarried each other in October of 2007. She has 10 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Pat is survived by her loving husband, John Albert Pearce, and her daughters Tracy-Elizabeth Lee Collar (Gary Collar) and Catherine Michelle Manning-Moore (Peter Moore). Brother John Aitken, Brother Jack Aitken. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jacqueline Lee Pearce, Brother Raymond Aitken, Granddaughter Echo Marie Wood as well as her parents.
Before retiring, Pat had a successful career as a manager or Supervisor in the Customer Service Field. She was known for her dedication and leadership in her profession. Pat proudly served in the US Navy, an experience that shaped her character and instilled in her a deep sense of duty and honor.
A big thank you goes out to all of our family, friends, neighbors, assisted living technicians, and hospice workers who helped her make her last few years happy, comfortable and peaceful. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 16th, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Activity Room at Chancellor Gardens Assisted Living, located at 1425 South 1500 East Clearfield, UT 84015.
Pat Pearce will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts. Remember to always laugh at yourself, walk in the rain, take the road less traveled, enjoy a good book, eat the cake and enjoy a good glass of wine. Live your life to the fullest, forgive and forget and above all else love with all your heart.
