Patricia J. Baird
LAYTON – Patricia Joy Baird passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012.
Patricia was born on September 9, 1925 to Roy and La Von Johnson Hartwick in Salt Lake city, Utah and was raised by John and La Von Dickamore in Slaterville, Utah.
She graduated from Weber High School in 1943. She married Ben E. Baird on April 20, 1946, and enjoyed 44 years together before his death in 1990. She worked at several different jobs throughout the years and finally settled with the IRS from which she retired in 1982. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Patricia enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing with her family and friends. Her hobbies included ceramics, knitting and crocheting, as well as being very talented in a number of other arts and crafts. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Surviving are her children, Brent (Myong) Baird, Tanna Baird, Douglas (Sandy) Baird and Lauri (Arthur) Miller; 6 grandchildren, Rande, Nicole, Angie, Jessie, Jessica and D.J.; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carma Dickamore, Marge (Larry) Peterson, Darlene (Dennis) Chugg and brothers, Marvin (La Rue) Dickamore and Dennis (Carol) Dickamore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Rex Hartwick and sister, Diane Dickamore.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
