Patricia Gail Butterfield

July 22, 1946 — December 17, 2023

Patricia Butterfield, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Willard late Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Born July 22, 1946, to J. T. and Marguerite Whatley in Duncan, Oklahoma, Pat graduated from Empire High School and attended Oklahoma College for Women.

She married Byard Kershaw and moved to Ogden, Utah in 1966. They had one son. They were later divorced.

On November 29, 1974, Pat married her soulmate, Darrell Butterfield.

Darrell had four children from his first marriage. Pat loved them all.

Pat worked at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Defense Depot Ogden, and retired from IRS. She loved to travel, Swedish weave, and working on genealogy. She loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, and riding ATVs.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Darrell.

She is survived by her son, Darrell Kershaw, and step-children; Rod (GayLee) Butterfield, Cory Butterfield, Dawn (Rick) Sutherland, and Jill (Tom) Stain; ten grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
