LAYTON a€" Patricia Ione Etherton, 83, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at her home. She was born November 7, 1924 in Glendive, Montana, the daughter of Zeno and Ada Henderson.

Pat grew up on a ranch and moved into Miles City at about age 10. After high school, Pat went to Seattle to work for the Army during WW II where she met her husband, Tom. They lived in Chicago, Illinois for about 50 years. She moved to Kaysville, Utah in 1994 to be near her daughters.

Pat is a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She worked for Hartford Insurance in the Chicago area for over 25 years. Pat supported animal rescue groups and the Christian Children''s Fund. She loved cats and working in flower gardens, especially with roses.

Survived by daughters Sandra Early (Glen) Clinton, UT; Catherine Fritzsche (Bill), Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers Robert Henderson (Patti), Paradise, CA; Wilfred Henderson (Elsie), San Marcos, CA and her sister Evelyn Willoughby, Graham, WA. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, and brother-in-law Ron Willoughby.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
