Patricia Rae Hess

Patricia Rae Hess passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Peach Tree Assisted Living in the Memory Care Center.

She was born April 13, 1931 in her Grandma Nora''s home in Providence, Utah to Raymond Nuttall Hall and Faye Bissegger Hall. Her mom divorced and later married Melvin H. Irons, who raised Pat as his own. She graduated from Logan High School in 1949.

Pat married Joseph W. Lundgreen and together they had four children. They later divorced. On March 7, 1962, she married Ferl D. Hess in Layton, Utah. Together they had one child and Ferl adopted the other children as well. They later divorced.

Mom''s family was her greatest blessing and she always had pets that she loved and adored.

She owned and operated "Corner CafAC." in Clearfield during the 1970s.

Pat was always extremely active in organizing events in the community and was a "social butterfly".

She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, where she served as Madam President and was active in the Clearfield and Layton American Legion.

She especially enjoyed dancing, playing the piano and organ and was an extremely talented pool player in many pool leagues with her many friends whom she loved so much.

Pat is survived by three sons, Paul Hess (Ginger), Springfield, MO; Gary Hess, Clearfield; Rodney Hess (Marcie), West Point; one daughter, Patti Jo Holsten (Kent), Roy; daughter-in-law, Kaye Hess, Layton; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one sister, Marjorie Stimpson (Gordon) and one brother, Jim Irons.

She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Joe Hess.

The family wishes to thank Heritage Park Care Center and Peach Tree Place for their kindness and loving care of our Mom. The family will meet with friends Monday, April 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 56000 South.
