Patricia Nan Mitchell Lemmon

“Patty”

Patricia Nan Mitchell Lemmon, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born April 6, 1928 in Fruitland, Idaho the only child of Ralph G. and Della Rader Mitchell.   She was reared and educated in Fruitland, Idaho and graduated from Fruitland High School in 1946. She attended Idaho State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and married Byron Lemmon August 20, 1950 of that same year.  1964 was a grand year as their son Robert Mitchell Lemmon was born – the last of those designated as “Baby Boomers”.

She taught Jr. High School in Pocatello, Idaho and worked as certification clerk for the Idaho Department of Education in Boise, Idaho. She worked as a teller at the Eimac Credit Union in Salt Lake City.

Patty was a past president of ISU Alumni Association, and served as chairman of ISU Foundation Board for two years, also a member of PEO and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.  She was an avid golfer and member of the ladies association at Lakeside Golf Course.  She enjoyed cross country skiing on the golf course at Park City.

She is survived by her husband Byron; son Robert Lemmon (Cynthia); one grandson Jason Lemmon; two step grandsons, Jeremy and Zachary Godfrey; and two great-grandchildren Zelda and Cooper.

The family would like to thank Brenda at Summit Home Health and Hospice for her special care.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family from 10:30-11:30 am prior to services.  Interment Fort Douglas Cemetery, Salt Lake City.
