PATRICIA  LEAVER MOUNTEER

“Pat”

On February 24, 2014 the heavens took back one of their angels that had given so much to so many.  She believed in everything good in the world.  She was passionate about Native American beliefs (peace and honoring the properties of Mother Nature and animals).  She was also passionate about the metaphysical world and her family.  She may not have had a lot of money, but she was rich in ways that mattered most.  She was a selfless person always giving whatever she had to anyone that needed it, never judging.

She especially loved the kids. Maybe that was because she remained such a kid herself or maybe because she loved them all as if they were her own.  She always tried to stay so positive about everything.  Everything except "growing old" that is.  She didn't want any part of that.  If she had her way, she would have went out on the back of a Harley, taking a road trip to find crystals or dancing with the wolves.  But in the end she battled with the horrible disease of Alzheimer's.  Many people live for years with the disease, but in her case the angels decided to pay her back for all the giving she had done during her life and blessed her with taking her home.  She was able to pass away peacefully at home and now she is free again to give to all of us the love and blessings she was so well known for each and every day.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Jean Leaver, her son Courtney Mounteer and both husbands John F Dailey and Claude L Mounteer.

She is survived by her brother Jim (Diane) Leaver; sisters Trudy Bates and Sally (Steve) Boyt; her children, Claudia Mounteer, Tina (Kim) Brown, Casey Dailey Mounteer, Kelly (Lori) Mounteer and Kenny Mounteer; 15 grandchildren and16 great-grandchildren.

We'd like to give special thanks to the friends and family members and to the CNS Hospice Team that helped with her care.  Their time and love was invaluable.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 8th from 12:30-3:00 pm at Arbor Manor Reception Center, 2888 W. 4700 S.  West Valley City, UT.  Care entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
