Patricia Helen Miller Olsen "Patti Mae" 8/24/27 a€" 7/31/11

Our mother and grandmother quietly passed away July 31, 2011. She was born on August 24, 1927 in Lewistown, Montana, the third daughter of John R. and Anna Miller and was the apple of her daddy''s eye.

Growing up in Montana she graduated from Helena High School in 1945, From there she went on to fulfill her dream of being a nurse, joining the WWII Cadet Nurse''s Corp and graduating from St. Joseph''s hospital in 1948.

Pat met the love of her life Edward Benjamin Olsen in 1950 on a blind date. They married on May 15, 1951 and spent 56 years devoted to each other.

For many years she worked at Holy Cross Hospital. In 1974, she and Ed took their family to Germany to live. They returned to Utah in 1982. At that time, she went to work for her favorite doctor, retiring in 1986.

She loved being with people, reading a good mystery, traveling, word puzzles, and her dear little doggies.

Surviving our mother are her six children, Daniel Olsen, Cheryl Olsen, Marilyn (Lynn) Whipple, Laurie (Steve) O''Neil, Bryan Olsen, and Jill (Roger) Perry. She has 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart. Her husband, mother and father, sister''s Ruth Wood and Eleanor Miller, and her brother-in-law Sal Lutey preceded her in death.

The family would like to thank the staff at the University of Utah CVMU for the wonderful care they gave to our mother. Mom became an honorary member of Boys Town in 2009 and would love donations sent there in lieu of flowers, www.boystown.org

Funeral services will be held 9 am Thursday, August 4, 2011 at St Olaf Catholic Church, 1800 South Orchard Dr. Bountiful. Friends may visit family Wednesday Aug. 3rd from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Bountiful, Utah.
