Patricia Anne “Sue” Pech
November 11, 1941 ~ April 2, 2019
Our loving mom, grandma, sister, and friend, Patricia Anne “Sue” Pech, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2019, after a seven year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born on November 11, 1941, a twin, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of William Michael and Bonnilynn Cookman White.
Sue was born and raised in Mason City, Iowa. She and her twin brother, Mike, graduated from Holy Family High School in 1959. While in high school, she became the church organist, and was also a cheerleader. She loved her time there and was so proud to be from the Midwest. Shortly after graduating from high school, Sue became a stewardess for Northwest airlines. It was during that time that that she met our Dad, Dick.
On May 8, 1965, they were married in Mason City and began their life together in Los Angeles, California. They lived there a short time and in 1966 moved to Ogden, Utah which became their lifetime home. They had three wonderful children together, David Pech, Jacque Russo, and Christopher Pech.
Sue loved playing the organ at St. Joseph’s, golfing, playing bridge with her friends, and attending Weber State football and basketball games. She enjoyed a long, happy career at Weber State University in the Human Resources Department. She excelled in her job and made many lifelong friends and memories. She was also the most supportive mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.
In 2012, Sue was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Even as the disease progressed, her intelligence, sense of humor, and witty personality remained. She made many meaningful friendships after her diagnosis, and left a lasting impression on everyone she came in contact with. We are so proud to be her children.
Sue is survived by her three children, David (Stacy) Pech, Jacque (John) Russo, and Christopher (Stephanie) Pech; ten grandchildren, Maddie, Belle, and Braxton Pech, Keira (Jake) Peterson, Taryn and Payton Browning, Mitch and Josh Russo, Jackson and Rylee Pech; and her one great-grandchild, Axel Peterson; and her twin brother, Michael (Maryanne) White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; and parents, William and Bonnilynn White.
