Patricia Ann James Rock

Patricia Ann James Rock, 72, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her husband by her side on May 24, 2018. She was born on April 9, 1946 in Ogden, Utah, to Edward James and Helen Rupe James Wainwright. She graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1964.  She married Phillip Craig Rock and they were blessed with four children.

Patricia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She worked for many years in retail at Grand Central and later Fred Myers. She retired from Hill Air Force Base as a TO Clerk.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, and going to the chariot races; she loved being outdoors.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Phillip; children, Stephanie (Mark) Grundie-Weaver of Ogden; James (Crispina) Drennen IV of California; Chans (Jan) Rock of California, and Jamielynn (Scott Jr.) Bodily of Ogden; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; her mother, Helen Wainwright; and sister, Sandra Davis. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward James and her step-father, Thomas Wainwright.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
