Patricia Lucille Schneider
April 2, 1939 ~ May 25, 2018
Patricia Lucille Schneider, 79, passed away peacefully in her home on May 25, 2018. Her death came after a valiant battle with complications of COPD and Multiple Myeloma.
Pat was born on April 2, 1939, in Van Nuys, California, to Ben and Aileen Riner.
When Pat was in her early teens, her family moved to El Monte, California, where she fell in love with, and married, the boy next door, Don “Roger” Schneider. Don and Pat were high school sweethearts and graduated from El Monte High School in 1957.
Don and Pat were married on June 6, 1959, in Pasadena, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They had two children, Todd and Debbie.
Pat loved her family. Her greatest joy was to be with them but mostly to be side by side with her sweetheart. Pat was happiest as she and Don studied the “Wild West” and then rode side by side through the hills. They traveled from Tombstone to Jackson and beyond. The love between them was always evident in their kindness and devotion to each other.
Pat is survived by her husband, Don of North Ogden; son, Todd Schneider of Blackfoot, Idaho; daughter, Debbie (Taylor) Groberg of Spanish Fork; grandchildren: Jessica (Mazalth) Martinez of Provo, Mari (Briggs) Fulton of Mapleton, Michelle Groberg and Kenna Groberg of Spanish Fork, and Jesse Schneider and Ally Schneider; and one great-grandson, Wilson Roger Fulton of Mapleton.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Aileen Riner; and brother, Ron Riner.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
