Patricia Mae Shinney

August 23, 1940 ~ October 23, 2014

Patricia Mae Shinney, 74, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014.  She was born on August 23, 1940 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the daughter of Christian Nels and Mae Ann McKeon Clausen.  She was raised in New Jersey and graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1958.  In 1966, she moved to Utah.

She married Allan Lee Shinney on September 25, 1982 in Elko, Nevada.

Patricia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She worked as a secretary for the Ogden Area Community Action and various other legal businesses.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Larry, Christopher, and Matthew; daughters, Kathryn and Pamela; stepchildren, Alan, Michael, Sarah, and Matthew; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers, Chris and Dale Clausen; and sister, Arlene J. Ferris.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
