Patricia Olsen Williams, 86, of Ogden, passed away on January 30, 2014 in Ogden, Utah.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester J. and Genevieve Staker Olsen of Ogden; her late husband of 39 years, Eldon Jesse Williams also of Ogden; brother, Don “J” Olsen; sister, Mary Olsen; and two sons, Boyd John Williams and Larry Dean Williams.

Pat was born on April 20, 1927 in Richfield, UT.  The family moved to Ely, Nevada when she was young, as her Father was in the Forrest Service.  By the time Pat was 14, they had moved to Ogden and lived on Harrison Blvd.  She graduated from Ogden High School and went on to earn a teaching degree from Weber State College.

She was a homemaker, a seamstress, and a grocer.  Pat, along with Eldon, owned and operated Willard Grocery for 26 years including 6 years after Eldon’s death in 1988. Pat loved to sew, quilt, knit and make porcelain dolls and their clothes.  Many of her creations won “best of show” at the Utah State Fair.  Pat donated countless hundreds of exquisite handcrafted baby quilts and knitted caps to local Hospitals. Many babies went home well dressed.

Pat maintained a lifelong relationship with Carilee and Linda Bragger from Willard, who were trusted employees of Willard Grocery.  They came to visit her every Thursday to eat, play cards, and help Pat out.  Pat always considered these fine ladies as adopted daughters.

Survivors include five sons, Geoffrey (Janice) and David of Camas, WA; Keith (Marsha) of Riverdale; Larry (deceased) (Kisha) of Ogden, UT; Kent (Chris) of Littleton, CO; and Mark (Terri) of Pleasant View, UT.  She has 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and four nieces and four nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
