Patrick Anthony Sersha

Pat was born March 18, 1928, the son of John and Mary Sersha. He passed away Friday, October 7, 2011. He grew up in Eveleth, MN. Pat went into the Army-Air Force in 1947 and spent 26 years in the Air Force and 25 years working at Hill Air Force Base. He was a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran. He married Akiko Wakasaka in 1961 in Tokyo, Japan. They have lived in Syracuse, UT since 1978.

Pat and Akiko enjoyed traveling all over the United States. He was a life member of VFW Post 1172 in Eveleth MN and the American Legion Post 0480 in Orr, MN.

Pat is survived by one brother, William (Beryl) Sersha, Cook, MN, Sisters-in-law Chieko Bast and Simko Wakasaka; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife Akiko, parents John and Mary Sersha and four brothers: Hanes, Joe, Peter and Robert.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.
