Our sweet and caring mom, grandma, great-grandma, Nan, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on May 15, 2024. Pat was born in Salt Lake City on December 13, 1936, to her devoted parents, Calvin and Myrtle Littleford. She grew up in Ogden and attended Ogden High School. She was the third of four children and leaves behind one sister, Joyce (Clark) Olsen. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lillie Lackey and Dolores Manning.
Patsy met her husband, William “Bill” Lucero while attending Ogden High School. They were married on March 20, 1954. Growing up, she always wanted to be a mother. Together they had a family of five children, Debbie Rocco, Linda Lambert, Kathy (Kevin) Black, Calene Lucero, and Robert (Kristi) Lucero. She was preceded in death by her loving husband on September 28, 2011. They were both supportive in every activity each child was involved in and would attend every event. They enjoyed and welcomed everyone’s friends into their home. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Pat created a happy life for her family. She was a doting and caring mother. She was the heart and soul of our family. Some of the fondest childhood memories from all are, No one could take swimming lessons because they “did not know how to swim”, Mom/Grandma always had green tea and cinnamon toast ready for when we were sick, we always had to wear our undershirts and shoes until the snow disappeared off the mountains, and she’d say, “call me when you get there” no matter the age of her child.
Pat couldn’t wait until spring when the Iris began to bloom. She loved her flower garden and working outside in it.
She was an excellent seamstress, porcelain doll maker, teddy bear creator, and she loved to crochet. She was basically a crafter extraordinaire. She created such special gifts for everyone, and they will be cherished. She enjoyed creating memories with her children as well as all of the grandchildren who affectionately called her Nan. She always said one of her happiest days was when her first grandchild was born.
She leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Mom, “see ya when we see ya.”
