“goodbye..? oh no, please. Can’t we go back to page one and do it all over again?”
-Winnie The Pooh
I came into this life a little small and sickly but, I was a fighter. I was born in Ogden, Utah to
Darlene Hess and Robert Marcus Ipsen and lived out most of my childhood in Ogden. My teenage years and early adulthood were spent in San Diego, California.
I moved back to Utah where I had much joy helping my only sibling and sister, Wynne, raise her 3 children, Taffie, Sandi, and Dusty. I loved them as my own and then later in life, I was able to help Taffie and Sandi raise their children. My family has always been a source of happiness for me, especially my sister and my nieces and nephews. I loved sharing music, dance, movies, popcorn (with real butter), and “tatoes” with them. I celebrated every birthday, holiday, and milestone with love and enthusiasm.
I love my Father in Heaven and was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This has allowed me to be sealed to my parents for time and all eternity. My temple work and helping others gave me a sense of purpose and pride. Living with my sister and best friend isn’t something that most get to do; I’m one of the lucky ones. I’m grateful for my family, my friends, who are also family, for the love, and for all of the memories.
Don’t grieve our goodbye; celebrate our memories.
Loads of love, Patti
At Patti’s request a very small graveside service took place on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Hooper Cemetery. She is sorely missed.
