Our beloved Patty Jean Hof, 72, passed away peacefully in her home in Clearfield, Utah surrounded by immediate family on January 5, 2020 at 11:45 p.m.
Born March 17, 1947 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was the eldest daughter of the late Ervin L. and Eva O.( Borden) Miller.
Patty is survived by her husband of 45 plus years, Emmet A. Hof, daughters, Patty J. Hunt, Angela S. (Jason) McCalmant, A'Lisa Moore, Corinne (Ryan) Hoppe, Toniette (Rick) Heidron, son, Warren (Lynn) Back, 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sisters, Marsha Miller and Nelda (Delwyn) Overweg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John C. Miller, great-grandson, Ethan Jay Antes (son of granddaughter, Rikishareen Lloyd).
Patty touched so many lives as a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma,, friend and co-worker, not to mention the four legged critters she fed and took into her home.
Patty loved people, everyone whoever met her has a special story to tell. She loved family and friends being around. She was known as “Mom” or “Grandma” to many special people.
She was most definitely loved by many and never will be forgotten.
Patty will be cremated and later laid to rest in Black Hawk, South Dakota with a graveside service with family.
There will be a Celebration of Life planned for close family and friends in Utah with the details to be determined at a later date.
The family would like to give our special thanks to the wonderful staff at Aspire Home Hospice Care for the care they provided to Patty as well as the family.
