Paul Jay Bingham
SOUTH WEBER a" Paul Jay Bingham, 83, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 3, 1928 in Preston, Idaho the son of Lafayette and Thelma Ida Day Bingham.
Paul married Iris Odessa Rodeman on July 18, 1959 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple in November 1969.
Paul served in the Navy and U.S. Air Force for 21 years and was stationed around the world. After retirement he worked at Boeing, while working there he received a degree in Automotives at Weber State University.
He has resided in South Weber for 45 years helping all he could in the community. He loved the outdoors, fishing and could tell a great story with the best of them.
Surviving are his wife Iris, children, Toni Willems, Kenny (Joanne) Bingham, Boyce (Pat) Bingham, Lafe (Christy) Bingham, Michelle (Burdell) Wakefield, 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two grandsons, Boyce J. and Samuel Bingham.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden.
In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
