Paul Jerome Bowers

May 20, 1962 ~ March 26, 2016

Paul Bowers, 53, passed away in his family’s arms on March 26, 2016, at his home in South Weber Utah, after a long fight with Chronic Renal Failure.  It was important to Paul to spend his last days surrounded by family and friends in the comfort of his home.

Paul was born on May 20, 1962 to Keith and Lucille Bowers and raised in Roy Utah where he attended Roy High School and started his love of fast cars and building anything his hands could create.  He continued his education at Davis Applied Technical College completing the Machinist Certification Program.

Paul married Cynthia (Cindy) Swords on March 16, 1984.  Cindy is his forever sweetheart.  Paul and Cindy were blessed with a son Dalton Paul and daughter Emily.  Being a dad and a pappy was the light of his life.

Paul had many careers working as an armed security guard, hobby store owner, machinist for Parker Hannifin and Hill AFB UT were he medically retired in 2004.

The love of cars and working with his hands continued as he enjoyed tinkering for hours in the garage on rebuilding cars, his Harley Davidson, RC cars, and designing custom bicycles, all time spent sharing his talents with Dalton.  He also loved spending time shooting competitively on the gun range, a love he shared with Emily.

Paul loved riding ATVs, Harleys and driving any hot rod. He entrained all with his quick wit and humorous stories, loved his many pets and enjoyed his nightly cookies and milk.

His is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cindy; daughter, Emily (Corey Walters) Bowers, daughter-in-law, Ashley Gilles,  grandchildren,  Alba, Allie, Kylie and Gibson; parents, Keith and Lucille; sisters, Kathy (Paul) Vallard and Karen (Evan) Peters; mother in-law, LaVon Swords; in-laws, Carol and Gary Locke, Dianna and Scott Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

Paul is now reunited his son, Dalton Bowers; and father in-law, Allie Swords.

Paul's final wish would be that everyone would become an organ donor.  Check the box on your driver's license and share your wishes with your family.  "Don't take your organs to heaven; heaven knows we need them here".

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and on Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
