Paul Fred Burr, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2012 at his home. He was born on September 2, 1926 in Logan, Utah to Paul and Eva Rose Burr. He grew up in Logan and graduated from Logan High School.

He spent two years in Italy during World War II serving his country in the Army. After returning from the war Paul married Carole Rae Nielson on March 17, 1947 in Elko, Nevada. She preceded him in death on August 17, 1983. He married Lorraine Christensen on May 31, 1988 in Elko, Nevada.

Paul worked at Hill Air Force Base in the logistics field, retiring in 1987.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.

Paul is survived by his wife, Lorraine; sons, Craig Burr, Brent (Gaylene) Burr, and Brian (Kim) Burr; and Kay (Gaylynn) Christensen, Rulan (Sharlene) Christensen, Eric (Terri) Christensen, and Drew (Janet) Christensen; daughters, Merry (Scott) Stowell, Ruann Paben, and Brenda (Mark) Towers; 40 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole; son, Gary; parents; and brothers, Richard and Reed.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
