Paul Maurice Bylund
KAYSVILLE a" Paul Maurice Bylund returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 18, 2011.
Paul was born to Henry and Jennie Bylund on June 11, 1923 in Santaquin, Utah.
He served in the Army Aircorp in Europe during World War II.
After his return he met and married Mary Johnson on August 21, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.
They have five children: Brent (Cheryl) Bylund, North Ogden, Connie (deceased) (Lon) Arnell, North Ogden; Gayle (Bruce) McGraw, Kaysville; Nan (Eldon) Call serving a mission in the Manila Philippines Temple, Joy Bylund, Kaysville, 20 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
He retired from HAFB along with working various other jobs throughout his life. He was a volunteer fireman for 30 years, 20 of those in Kaysville.
He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by his wife Mary and children, brothers Bruce and Cy Bylund, sisters Frances Oats, Muriel Wilkey, Naomi Wilkey, Carol Jean Shephard and a sister-in-law Ila Gilles.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Creed, daughter Connie and granddaughter Jennie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville LDS Rock Chapel, 200 East Center Street. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
