HARRISVILE - Paul Raymond Cherpeski, 60, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008 peacefully, surrounded by family. He was born May 8, 1948 to Robert P. and Helen Hobson Cherpeski in Dayton, OH. He married Joann M. Brown on December 16, 1978 in Lebanon, OH.

Paul served his country in the U.S. Marines and Air Force; he retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He was a Logistics Engineer for ARINC, Inc. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Lions Club. Paul was a self taught guitar player who played extremely well and enjoyed all types of music, wood working, collecting cars, planes, trains and researching genealogy. One of his happiest roles in life was being Cookie Monster and being Papa.

Surviving are his wife, Joann and one son, Nicholas (Makinna) of Harrisville; one special grandchild, Robert, one brother, David (Kay) Fairborn, OH; and two sisters, Dorothea Van Zant, Xenia, OH; Patricia Brown, Modesto, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother, John and sister, Mary.

The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the ICU Drs., nurses and staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center for their wonderful and loving care of Paul.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Chapel 18687 North Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Monday from 12:45 to 1:45 at the mortuary.
