Paul Phillips

Paul Arthur Phillips

Born July 14, 1928 to Paul Leon Phillips and Isa Marie Winn Phillips in Fresno California.

He married the love of his life Barbara Joan Hata on November 27, 1978

Paul is survived by his wife Barbara, eight children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his identical twin brother Jerry and older sister Ethel R. Phillips, son Kim Phillips.

Paul was a dedicated man of service having spent 34 years with the Salt Lake City Fire Department before retiring in 1983. After retirement Barbara and Paul settled in Buhl, Idaho where they both continued to serve the community thru the Chamber of Commerce and volunteer work. It was said of Paul “Paul is consistently faithful in whatever work he did. He works without a lot of fanfare and gets the job done. Nobody notices all the things he does, but they would notice if the work didn’t get done,”

Later in life he continued his work of service in the care of his beloved wife Barbara. He was a loving and caring man and will be greatly missed.
