Paul Bert West

Paul Bert West Paul Bert West age 86, died November 27, 2011 at Emeritus Estates Assisted Living Center in Ogden, Utah. He was born April 24, 1925 to James Alva and Estelle Claussee West. He served our country in WWII in the Navy. He then continued his service as a civilian at H.A. F.B. He was a devout member of the Catholic Church. He was a gentle, caring, humble family man who always thought of others before himself. Paul married our mom Fae Emily Gale Russell West and her six children in 1958. He helped raise us and was a wonderful husband to our mom. He is survived by his sisters Betty Yanni, Pauline Attison (his twin), sister-in-law Lew West, stepchildren, Lynda (Ed) Maxwell, Susan (Larry) McAuley, Thomas (Denise) Russell, and Dee (Diane) Russell, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, brothers, Jack, Joe, and William, stepsons Dan and Randy Russell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. He was WELL taken care of by the staff at Emeritus. Our family is grateful for their kindness and service. A special thanks to hospice employees Heidi and Dawn.
