Our loving mother and grandmother, Pauline Cloud, 87, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016.

She was born August 18, 1929 in Meridian, Texas to Elbert Monroe and Lillian Grace Word Cloud. She was a Texas girl through and through.

Pauline accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was 35. She has served the Lord faithfully ever since. She taught Sunday school and was always an inspiration to others.

She loved to sing Gospel songs, cook, sew, dance, and paint especially China painting.

Pauline is survived by three children, Grace Meeks, Rebecca (Dave) Phillips, W. Carlyle (Jean) Meeks; eight grandchildren, RaeAnne Nickerson, Derek (Denise) Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Megan (Jinny) Gandy-Guedes, Nate (Billie) Gandy, Kristen Gandy, Kyle Meeks, Jean Meeks; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan Nickerson, Willow Nickerson, David Alexander Phillips, Ryan Phillips, William Phillips, Temple Gandy, Madelyn Gandy; one brother, James C. Cloud, Tuscan, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Long.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Faith Baptist Church of Layton, 2430 North Fairfield Road, Layton.
