Pauline Williams McBride
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Pauline Williams McBride, was reunited with her parents and her eternal companion on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. She died from heart failure at the age of 90. Pauline was born December 29, 1922 in Syracuse Utah, a daughter of Lionel E and Mary Golda Walker Williams. She married Claude Eugene McBride November 17, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple, and they made Syracuse their lifelong home. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many capacities during her life. She also belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Syracuse Lady Lions Club. She was employed by Davis County and was active in local politics. She served as Treasurer of Davis County for three terms, from 1978 to 1990.
Pauline was an example of caring and kindness to all who knew her. Her family will miss her quiet strength and constant support.
Surviving are her six children: Michael (Jeanie), Paul (Kathy), Janine Eames, Luanne (Kevin) Probasco, Kerry (Kellie Jo) and Tracie, one sister Mary Schofield, 21 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Eugene (Mac), seven of her siblings, great-grandchild Maxwell McBride, and son-in-law Ollie Eames.
The family gives special thanks to the team of doctors and nurses at Davis Hospital for their valiant effort on her behalf.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 3426 W. Augusta Dr., Syracuse. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
