WASHINGTON TERRACE a€" Our butterfly-loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Pearl May Stewart Blair Peterson, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009 in Ogden.

She was born August 12, 1923 in Ogden, a daughter of Robert William and Florence Henderson Stewart. She was raised and educated in Ogden.

Pearl met Clytis Blair in 1945 and they were married in Louisiana residing in Baton Rouge. They had one daughter, Barbara. After Clyde''s death in 1964, she returned to Ogden. Pearl took care of her parents and other relatives. While working at 4C''s Dry Cleaners and Hoffman''s Cleaners for many years, she met and later married Boyden Peterson, caring for him until his death in 2006.

She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.

Pearl''s hobbies were collecting butterflies and anything pink. In her younger years, she loved to make clothes for herself and her family. She loved flower gardening and still had a lovely garden at her home. Pearl was always a big part of her grandchildren''s lives and thought her great-grandchildren were very special.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Keyes, grandchildren, Karen Keyes and James (Nicole) Keyes, and her great-grandchildren, Shelby and Corey Keyes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and her son-in-law, Garnet Keyes.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
