Pearl H. Wiser
1914 – 2009
ROY – Pearl Hampton Wiser passed from this life on September 6, 2009 at the Pine View Transitional Rehabilitation Center where she had been recuperating from a serious fall. She was 95 years old at the time of her passing.
Pearl was born May 13, 1914 to John and Ruby Hampton in Franklin, Idaho. She grew up as one of large family surrounded by four brothers and two sisters.
Pearl married Harold Wiser on February 8, 1933 in the Logan LDS Temple. She and Harold moved to Ogden in the spring of 1943 and then to Roy in 1957 where they spent the rest of their lives.
She was a member of the Roy 5th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Pearl dedicated her life to caring for and supporting her husband and sons and their families. For many years she was a Notary Public. She worked side by side with her husband and son Glade at Wiser Cycle Sales in the Ogden area for many years. She was proud of her son Darrell and the service he gave to his country. Pearl’s greatest joy was her family. She loved talking to her children and grandchildren about their everyday lives. Pearl was kind, loving and considerate of everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Harold passed away on December 7, 1994 leaving her surrounded by her children and grandchildren: Darrell, his wife Marian and their two daughters Karie (Kent) Eggleston and Kathy (Merrill) Butler; Glade, his wife Kathryn and their children, Kris (Brent) Butcher, Karen (Dave) Griffiths, Mike (Jill) Wiser, Jason (Mary) Wiser, Jennifer (Blaine) Maxfield, and David (Gina) Wiser. Both of their sons are residents of Roy.
Harold and Pearl have eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren with another to be born in February, and four great-great-grandchildren. Each child brought great happiness to Pearl.
Pearl was preceded in death by her eternal companion Harold, her parents, and all of her brothers and sisters. It is certain that she is rejoicing in a wonderful reunion with her loved ones.
