Peggy Ann Adams

Peggy Ann Adams, 60, of Layton returned home to the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on September 11, 2012 at home after a short battle with cancer. She was born on May 5, 1952, the second child of Dale Wright and Mary Louise Morrison Adams.

Peggy Ann grew up in Layton and lived her entire life in the same log home with her parents whom she helped take care of in their elderly age. She graduated from Layton High school and was a member of the LDS Fairfield 2nd Ward.

Peggy Ann had a beautiful, sweet spirit and will be deeply missed by all her knew her. She loved to crochet and do needlework and shared many of her homemade gifts with others. She loved the Utah Jazz and was one of their biggest fans. She wrote down the scores at every quarter of every game in her homemade notebook. Even with Peggy Ann''s learning disabilities she always remembered birthdays and important dates and sent many cards to friends and relatives.

She also loved watching game shows, Lawrence Welk, shopping, listening to music while singing along, animals, fishing, and working outside. She really enjoyed spending time with neighbors and friends who would come to visit.

Peggy Ann is survived by her mother, Mary Louise Adams; her Sister Dalene (Delvin) Read, Layton; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Jeannie) Read, American Fork; Deborah (Roger) Foxley, Farr West; Daniel (Stephanie) Read, McKinney, TX; Robert Read, Clinton; and Amy Read, Layton; great-niece and nephews, Locke, Breckyn, and Rizden Read.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Wright Adams and grand-parents Merlin and Vera Morgan Adams; Alma and Amy Leah Gregory Morrison.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

The family would like to thank all the kind family and friends who supported her over the years and brought so much joy into her life. We all learned so many things from hera€"especially how to love and enjoy the simple things.
