Peggy Jean Bennett Hunsaker returned to her Heavenly Father on September 2, 2018 while at Apple Village Assisted Living in Layton, Utah.
Peggy was born on November 22, 1927, in Desert, Utah, the daughter of Orvil Jean and Clara (Western) Bennett.
On July 28, 1945, she married “ROB” Robert Francis Hunsaker in Delta, Utah. Rob preceded her in death on May 13, 2001. They were married two months short of 56 years and had five children.
Peggy was the heart of her family. She passed her great sense of humor on to each of her children. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life, she had a great love of visiting teaching. Peggy served several missions at the Bishops Storehouse in Kaysville, UT where she loved to serve and help others. She loved to read, crochet and made the best bread ever. With the help of her granddaughter Amber she wrote her life story. What a great legacy she gave us.
She was preceded in death by her husband “Rob” Robert F. Hunsaker, parents Orvil Jean Bennett, Clara Margaret (Western) Bennett, sisters Velma Hunter and Sandra Christiansen, grandsons, Adam Lee and Donnie Lee.
Peggy is survived by sons, David (Colleen) Hunsaker, Syracuse, UT; Wayne (Janice) Hunsaker Craig, CO; daughters, Madeline (Donald) Petersen, Monument, OR; Roberta (Vaughn) Ahlstrom Craig, CO; Nethella (Don) Lee Eureka, NV; sister, Clara Belle Cook, Delta, UT; brothers, Dewey Bennett, Fountain Green, UT; Zane Bennett, Delta, UT; 18 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
