Peggy Porter Lilly

February 9, 1954 ~ August 14, 2014

Peggy Porter Lilly, 60, passed away on August 14, 2014, at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 9, 1954, to Joseph G. and Vanile Cunningham Porter in Ogden.

Peggy lived in Ogden her whole life. She married the love of her life, Roger Lilly, on April 8, 1982, in her hometown. Peggy worked as a court clerk in the Second District Juvenile Court.

Peggy was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, and a member of the Junior League of Ogden. Peggy was an avid reader. She was a great golfer, bowled on a league where she met Roger, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and enjoyed going on walks with her best friend, Denali.

Peggy loved to go camping at La Plata. She would take her family and friends and they would spend hours together playing horseshoes, darts, and riding ATVs. She would also take trips to Lake Powell with her family and friends to enjoy a “theme night” and playing cards and dominoes with everyone, (sometimes she cheats).

Peggy is survived by her husband, Roger Lilly; sons, Bryan Joseph, and Daren John; daughter, RyAnn (Tony) Henry; grandchildren, Austin and RyLee; mother-in-law, Naomi Lilly; and sisters, Pat (Craig) Campbell and Pam (Brad) Slater; brother-in-law, Rodney (Janet) Lilly; and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Mel) Roche; and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Roy Lilly.

We love you Peggy and will miss you.

Cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. A celebration of Peggy’s life will be planned at a later date.
