Peggy Maureen O’Connell

1929 ~ 2019

Peggy Maureen O’Connell, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home in Layton, surrounded by her family.  She was born March 30, 1929 in Faversham, England to Anne Margaret Wildish.  She married Frederick A. O’Connell on April 1, 1953 in Faversham, England.

She worked at the Hill Air Force Base Officer’s Club for 15 years and then at Denny’s Restaurant for 15 years in Layton and Roy, Utah.  She loved to garden and go to Mesquite, Nevada.  Peggy always had the prettiest garden in Layton.  She loved her children and would do anything for them and her children loved her back and would do anything for her. We love and will miss you mom.

Peggy is survived by her sons Michael and Patrick, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and  daughters-in-law, Suzanne, Cindy, and Maureen.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her son Russell.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 S. State Street, Clearfield, Utah
