Peggy was born on March 8, 1945, at the old Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was the second child born to Clayton and Phyllis Oyler. She was raised in Ogden until she was 2 years old. The family then moved to California. She attended Casimer Elementary and graduated from North High School. We went to El Camino College and received a Associate degree. After college she worked for several grocery stores as a checker and a non-foods clerk for 32 years.
She moved to Utah in 2017 and lived with her sister and brother until April when she moved to Quail Meadow Memory Unit.
Peggy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held several callings. Her favorite calling was serving in the Primary Nursery for 15 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking and walking around her neighborhood.
She was sealed to her dad and mom in the Salt Lake Temple.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Vance) Covington; three grandchildren, Ashley, Jamie, and Sean, who were the love of her life; her sister, Jolene; brother, Rick (Heather); and her three nephews, Heath, Nathan, and Nick Oyler. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother, Larry; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
